The Sound Barrier SDM9 is a handheld dynamic cardioid vocal microphone designed for working musicians — live vocals, rehearsals, small-venue shows, and karaoke. The cardioid polar pattern rejects sound from the sides and rear, isolating the singer's voice from stage noise, monitors, and crowd bleed.

A neodymium capsule delivers articulate vocal reproduction with natural full-range response. The internal shock mount minimizes handling noise during animated performance, and the durable metal-body construction is built to take the abuse of regular stage use. An on/off switch lets vocalists mute the mic during set changes or when stepping off mic.
