The QSC KW153 is a true 3-way active loudspeaker delivering 1000W of Class-D power into a precisely engineered driver set: a 15" low-frequency woofer, a dedicated 6.5" midrange cone driver, and a 1.75" high-frequency compression driver — each handling its own band independently for clarity that 2-way designs can't match.

Why 3-way matters: In a 2-way speaker, the woofer has to handle everything from bass to upper midrange, which compromises vocal clarity. The KW153's dedicated 6.5" mid driver focuses on the critical 250 Hz – 2 kHz vocal range, letting voices and instruments cut through dense mixes without harshness. The result: balanced, full-range reproduction from a single cabinet.
